You will have to detach the crumb holder of your toaster so that you clean it as required. This holder is found beneath the appliance. You will remove it by simply sliding it out of the bottom. Once you have removed it, you would then shake off any crumbs that is has left on it.

The shaking must be done gently. Once all the crumbs are off, you would then need to clean the holder with soapy water. You have to ensure that it is thoroughly dried before you replace the holder. You will then need to replace it well so that it never falls or breaks.

When the holder or the catcher for crumbs in your toasters is clean, you are free from contamination. Remember this is the section where you would add consumables and so it has to be cleaned thoroughly. There is no need for contaminations.
